Red Barn in Demopolis

The best restaurant in Demopolis. Great steaks and seafood. Nice salad bar. It also has a lounge upstairs. Great atmosphere!

Super steaks! Great atmosphere. True southern experience. Would be nice if the fish and crabs got offered also steamed or grilled. Can be a little to heavy wit all the breading (even though it tastes delicious) 😀

We had the 24 oz Ribeye and it was DELICIOUS!!! The steak was juicy and flavorful. The service was fantastic and great atmosphere. We highly recommend this restaurant.

It was standing room only so you know it must be good. Get there early!

The Red Barn is excellent! We were flying a three-plane formation across country when we had to divert into Demopolis Airport overnight. We were directed to the RED BARN and wow! We loved it! Highly recommended!

The ribeye was fantastic. Just about everything had wonderful flavors. Definitely a home style vibe and great service! A nice menu to choose from and a place that I would repeat every day. Go check it out!

We loved it. My son enjoyed the steak fries, my wife loved the salad bar and chicken livers and I had a delicious bacon cheeseburger. The fries were hot, the burger juicy and the bacon crisp. Everyone was friendly and service was prompt. I can see why it was busy. I know we will be back when we pass through again.

Great food and service! The pork tenderloin was huge! You could smell the cigarette smoke when you walk in but the smell of the food quickly overpowered it. I was a little nervous about going with a 3 year old and a 1 year old with the lounge on top but it was fine. You couldn't even hear the people upstairs. It was perfectly family friendly.

Great food, kind staff, unique atmosphere. If I didnt live 4.5 hours away, I would probably visit once a week.

Great food and decorations. The people are super friendly. I loved my waitress both times I have been she has been great. Highly recommend. Would highly recommend the steak it is absolutely one of the best.

Disappointing to find out you only get one trip to the salad bar with the smallest bowl ever.

Call in order was wrong missing alot of food I ordered I asked for a pork steak instead got fried chicken. I asked for extra onions on the hamburger steak didn't have no onions. Wait time was 30 minutes after the time I was told my order was ready.. This is not the Red Barn I'm used to diffrent owners diffrent service...

The place is a big red building. You can't miss it. Food and service were both pretty good. I enjoyed the grilled chicken breast and baked potato. There are not a whole lot of dinner choices in the area.

Very good food and service. My wife and I went tonight and they were rather busy for a Tuesday night right before Thanksgiving. We were seated without a wait and our server took good care of us. We both had a hamburger steak and baked potato with the salad bar. Their salad bar is great with home made dressing. The meal was fantastic and reasonably priced.Not our first visit and it won't be our last!!

Service and staff a 5! Had the whole catfish dinner and it was almost tasteless, no flavor. Brocolli was really good though. But overall underwhelmed with food. Also not my 1st visit-food normally much better.

Good food. But COLD when served.

We have never had a negative experience here! Always friendly people, delicious food, clean tables and restroom, and did I mention how amazing the food is?! This last time we went for my birthday, and the staff sang Happy Birthday to me, as well served me a delicious slice of pie with ice cream! Can't go wrong with Red Barn!

This place is always good. Steaks are almost as good as their service. If you're in Demopolis, this is a must stop destination.

Were not from here but heard this place was really good and it was. Waitress was very nice and kind and attended to us the whole time. Food was amazing. I got the hamburger and gravy and loved it. Their rolls are really fresh. I could of eaten 10 of those. I def will be returning very soon!!

Stopped here on a boat trip up the river system. Food was ok, and you can eat it next to people smoking. Also, this is the spot where I realized that overalls are the male muumuu!

My husband works in the area an d days here occasionally and is always satisfied with the service. I went with him on this occasion and the food was absolutely delicious.

Shrimp were big and tastey.

I thought it was a little dark and disorienting. However the food was average. It had good flavor but the steak i ordered was grainy. It seemed as if this was a local favorite hangout for families that dine out on a regular basis. I saw many people that knew other people table after table. I went upstairs, when I first got there, and checked out the bar area. It was extremely smoky! And, smelled like the inside of an old ashtray. So, I quickly went back downstairs.I don't want to run this place into the ground but, I will not eat here a second time.

I had tuna at the Red Barn and it was the absolute best I've ever had. Grilled perfectly. Cause ya know if it's overcooked it's bad. I also love the salad bar. Always love a good salad bar. Great place for parties also.

A little bit overpriced but awesome chicken Best I ever had the portion sizes doesn't really match the price sizes. But the quality of the food makes it balanced out.

Rustic setting with staff that exemplify southern hospitality. Best catfish I have ever had and the steak was flawless. The shrimp and grits made a Yankee colleague see the light.

Things really changed with the new owners. Only 1 trip to the Salad bar and fewer selections and no soup. It appears prices went up. The cut of filet was not premium and disappointing for the price of $29.95. Fried pork chops were good. This is our last time to dine at the Red Barn. Black plastic table cloths don’t compare to the previous table cloths and the previous waitresses were great.

I had the tuna this go around. Great food everytime I have ever ate there. I highly recommend

Really enjoyed dinner here on 2 nights. Great service and very good steaks. Nice salad bar too. I never had pickled watermelon rhine before - tasty!

We showed up on Fish Day and what a fantastic menu. The Staff was more than accommodating when we told them we had two dogs waiting in the car. They shared the history of the place with us and showed us Hospitality beyond belief. We will stop in every time we are in Demopolis. Fantastic Food!

The staff is friendly. I have been there multiple times, and as a restaurant cook, I get quite picky about my steak. Each time I have ever ordered a Ribeye (my favorite), it has been cooked to perfection each time.

Hospitality and service was off the chart, fantastic! The white dressing on the salad bar was lacking. Couldn't tell if it was supposed to be bleu cheese, ranch or a house recipe. Wasn't impressed.Catfish wasn't up to par with previous visit. Maybe overused grease. Everything else very good.
